Sunrise is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in America. Sunrise is pastored by Rod Chaney,ThM, Dallas Theological Seminary.

What:
Our style of ministry, which seeks to be contemporary and relevant, flows out of a theology that is consistently Biblical. We believe in the inspiration and inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures. We believe in one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in a sovereign, loving God, who created and planned all things. We believe in the deity of His Son Jesus Christ, who has redeemed sinful men by virtue of His death on the cross and His subsequent bodily resurrection. We believe that one receives the benefits of Christ’s work by grace through faith alone.

We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit, who applies the work of Christ to our hearts and fills us with power and love for Christian service. We believe that Christ is the head of His Church, which exists to fulfill the great commission and demonstrate His Lordship in every area of life. We believe Christ is coming again.
